I rented this movie from RedBox i couldn't stop lauging because the mom tries to try out a popular italian soccer star only to convince the girls team that he is in fact arriving at coach. She along with the soccer star actually got into an altercation on the airport anf the husband blatantly refused to coach the soccer team, but there are many real surprising twists as the movie progreses. I became laughing for greater than an entire minute for the part the place that the real "Lorenzo" pours a pitcher water on himself because two others poured water on him because they thought he couldn't "make up his mind" on which to order. The truth with the matter was the mom (Missi Pyle) was impersonating him and they were within the same room!
You just have to watch the movie to locate out if the mom's (Missi Pyle's) act of playing Lorenzo the Italian soccer star is exposed. Emily Osmont did an excellent job as playing Missi Pyle's daughter and he or she is very good at playing soccer. If only I possibly could give this movie 6 stars because of how closely it resembled Mrs. Doubtfire and She's the Man (both excellent movies where people try to impersonate others).
I wasn't sure why a lot of people gave it negative reviews based for the sexual dialagoue, but this is often a teen movie. What did you expect? But anyway this movie is really worth buying and keeping being a collector's edition.

What a particular movie, to the entire family. Soccer Mom has it all: strong family values, humor and suspense, and general warmth that touches the entire family. Not simply girl power, but family power too. And some great acting. We can't stop referring to it!

I bought this movie based on a recommendation from your friend. My wife and i also thought it was well done and funny. My young daughters especially enjoyed watching Emily Osment as well as the soccer scenes. The story isn't most original, nevertheless it includes a warm message driving it. Missi Pyle does an excellent job as Wendy and as Lorenzo. We really felt she cared about her daughter's happiness. It was fun to watch, so we laughed a lot.
