WorldCup 2010 Soundtrack Lyric Wavin Flag by K'naan

Wavin Flag Lyrics:
When i get older, they’ll call me freedom
Just like a Waving Flag.

When I get older, I will be stronger,
They’ll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

Born to a throne, stronger than Rome
but Violent prone, poor people zone,
But it’s my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam.
But out of the darkness, I came the farthest,
Among the hardest survival.
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Except no defeat, surrender retreat,

So we struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we’ll be free,
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day,
It’s not far away, so for now we say

So many wars, settling scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way,
Love is the answer, that’s what they say,
But look how they treat us, Make us believers,
We fight their battles, then they deceive us,
Try to control us, they couldn’t hold us,
Cause we just move forward like Buffalo Soldiers.

But we struggling, fighting to eat,
And we wondering, when we’ll be free
So we patiently wait, for that faithful day,
It’s not far away, but for now we say,

(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And everybody will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And you and I will be singing it
(Ohhhh Ohhhh Ohhhhh Ohhhh)
And we all will be singing it
(Ohhh Ohh Ohh Ohh)

When I get older, when I get older
I will be stronger, just like a Waving Flag,
Just like a Waving Flag, just like a Waving flag
Flag, flag, Just like a Waving Flag

Enrique Iglesias Lyrics - Can You Hear Me Lyrics

Artist: Enrique Iglesias Song: Can You Hear Me

Can You Hear Me!

I remember that I can still feel you
Sometimes I’m blind but I see you
You are here but so far away

The times when you wanna.. Im missing you
Makes me feel like I’m spinning
Sometimes you get what you gain

I’m on a coaster-collision
Am not about to give in
Can’t explain my position or the condition that I’m in.

Where I am is no limit, no walls, no ceilings
No intermission, so let
Let the party begin.

(Chorus)
Hey.. Hey.. Hey all the way
DJ let it play.
Hey Hey Can You Hear Me?
Oooow
Hey.. Hey.. Hey all the way
DJ let it play.
Hey Hey Can You Hear Me?
Oooow

Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me?
Oooow

Don’t you mean that you’re my vision
I gotta make a decision
Do I go, do I stay? (Stay)

You’ve gotten into my system
You are in control of my mental
I need to mean for a stay (???)

I’m on a coaster-collision
Am not about to give in
Can’t explain my position or the condition that I’m in.

Where I am is no limit, no walls, no ceilings
No intermission, so let
Let the party begin

(Chorus)
Hey.. Hey.. Hey all the way
DJ let it play.
Hey Hey Can You Hear Me?
Oooow

Hey.. Hey.. Hey all the way
DJ let it play.
Hey Hey Can You Hear Me?
Oooow

Oooow Oooow Oooow Oooow Oooow Oooow
Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me?

Hey.. Hey.. Hey all the way
DJ let it play.
Hey Hey Can You Hear Me?
Can You Hear Me?

Iglesias is one of popular music's brightest talents and UEFA is delighted to have secured his input for UEFA EURO 2008™. Can You Hear Me? will help create even more of a party atmosphere for the fans at EURO 2008."

Turks desires for Euro 2008

Turkey displayed a Jekyll and Hyde set of performances in qualifying for Euro 2008 and they will be earnestly hoping that if they produce their earlier form they can emulate the 2000 squad and at least make the quarterfinals.

However a repeat of their poor displays especially against Bosnia and Malta would see them realistically returning home early and to what could be a hostile reception from the football-mad country.

For just as Indian and Pakistani cricketers have their effigies regularly burned after a poor result so Turkish fans expect the highest level of performances from their side.

There will be no lacking in motivation for a squad that has effectively been short over the past few years of the members of the side that did so outstandingly well to reach the 2002 World Cup semifinals, though, two prominent members of the team remain in Emre and Yildiray Basturk.

In Fatih Terim they have as fired up a coach as one could imagine, some would say that he overdoes it, and his opening meeting with the Portuguese coached by the equally volatile Felipe Scolari could well set the tempo for the group.

It is the second group match, though, that promises to provoke fireworks and will be watched nervously by the organisers and governing body Uefa as co-hosts Switzerland take them on in a match that could prove pivotal as to which one progresses.

As if that doesn't present a tense enough atmosphere then there is the revenge factor as in their last meeting.

The Swiss ousted the Turks in the 2006 World Cup finals play-off which provoked disgraceful scenes with the Turkish players attacking several of their Swiss opponents while Terim actively encouraged them to do so.

However when the Turks keep a cool head they are a difficult team to take on and their pulsating 4-1 defeat of bitter rivals and reigning champions Greece in Athens earlier in the qualifiers illustrated how good they can be on their day.

In Emre, who has not enjoyed a happy time at Premiership side Newcastle United, and Basturk they have two solid and experienced campaigners but it will be Villarreal's marksman Nihat Kahveci that they will be looking to for goals and for attacking inspiration.

Terim was a relieved man when Nihat returned to action after a serious knee injury last year and scored vital goals in their last two qualifiers to ensure they edged out Norway by a point.

Expectation as ever in Turkey is of at least a knockout phase place. Anything less and the players would be well advised in making holiday reservations abroad. - Sapa-AFP

Carolina Liar - I'm Not Over Lyrics

What a waste of time, the thought crossed my mind
But I never missed a beat
Can’t explain the who or what I was
Trying to believe
What would you do?
What would you do?
Do you know?
I once had a grip on everything
It feels better to let go

Ref

I’m not over
I’m not over you just yet
Cannot hide it
You’re not that easy to forget
I’m not over

Never took the chance, could’ve jump the fence
I was scared of my own two feet
Couldn’t cross the line, it was black and white
No contrast to be seen
What would you do?
What would you do?
Do you know?
Was it all a joke, never had control
I’m not better on my own

Ref

What a waste of time
The thought crossed my mind
Can’t explain this thing, or what I mean
I’m tryïng to let go

EUFA EURO 2008 Q & A

We speak to the game’s producer about life without England and the future of the series.

You may not have noticed, but the FIFA series has emerged in the last year as a very real challenger to the videogaming football throne. Last year’s FIFA 08 offered the definitive football package and EURO 2008 serves as a stop-gap before this year’s installment, further pushing the game towards online play and embellishing the game’s mechanics with some extra polish. We spoke to the game’s producer Simon Humber about the new game and where the series is heading.

A stadium, looking lovely, yesterday.

IGN: Do you think England’s absence in the tournament will affect the game’s sales over here?

Simon Humber: I think there’s a certain percentage of people that buy tournament games because they’re engaged in the tournament. I’d like to think there’s a bigger percentage of people who are football gamers who just want the best game on the market at the time. Given that it’s six months from the last FIFA and PES, and six months to the next FIFA and PES, if you’ve got a better game out you can play that for six months, then I’d like to think people will buy it for that reason.

IGN: A great feature of FIFA 08 was the roster update, and the persistent updates and connectivity to the real football world. Is that something that’s going to be a feature of EURO 2008?

Simon Humber: We’ve got one update coming, which is for when all the squads are announced. England were difficult to decide which players to put in, because Capello has come in and changed the make up of the squad a bit. At the moment we’ve left it as McLaren’s team, and when the update comes we’re going to change it to Capello’s team.

IGN: The series is moving to online and social play. How important is that to FIFA’s future?

Simon Humber: Critical. The time of just playing the game by yourself and not being connected to anyone is vanishing, especially with football because it’s such a social environment. As we build technology we’re constantly aware of where that should go in terms of design and being able bring more people into football and making the experience better for them.

IGN: This game is a halfway house between FIFA 08 and FIFA 09, and as a full price release how would you allay fears of people who may be skeptical of buying the game due to its shorter shelf life?

Simon Humber: Personally, I’d buy it because it’s the best game on the market. I realise that the tournament itself ends in June, but come July 1 it’ll still be the best game on the market. We’ve got feedback from people who’ve played the demo and gone back to FIFA 08 and said they couldn’t play it anymore, because they’ve got used to the increased responsiveness.

Some bouncing Czechs.

IGN: Will there ever be a point where the big tournaments could become integrated into one FIFA package?

Simon Humber: FIFA and Euro could never come together because you’ve got FIFA and UEFA, who both want their own game on the market. FIFA and World Cup in theory could, but to do that you’d need to include so much that’s special about the World Cup. FIFA’s got a challenge already because you’ve got so many cultural differences from different leagues around the world that everyone wants you to work in, they want South American football to feel different, they want Southern European football to feel different to Northern European football, so they all really belong in their own products so we can do them justice.

IGN: How do you assign player attributes?

Simon Humber: We’ve got a department in Vancouver, and one in Germany as well, called the data collection department, and there’s a bunch of guys there who run and maintain the database, and there’s a community of editors. There’s a community around the world that gives us the stats, and it’s up to the guys to balance it to make sure that players aren’t under or overrated, we always have an eye on the next big player as well.

IGN: So England are dreadful?

Simon Humber: Individually they’re good, but the chemistry’s not great.

IGN: Congratulations on getting the Peter Crouch robo-dance in there, but we’re hoping that Robbie Earnshaw’s somersault and machine gun combo will be in there…

Simon Humber: I’m afraid not.

Shaggy at EURO 2008 soundtrack with Flix and Trix

UEFA EURO 2008™ will be a feast of football on the pitch and a party off it – and Jamaican-American recording artist Shaggy is helping to provide the soundtrack.

'Feel the groove'
The reggae star, famed for such hits as Oh Carolina and Mr Boombastic, attended an event in Berne today marking 100 days until the finals as well as the launch of euro2008.com. Shaggy teamed up with tournament mascots Trix and Flix to record their anthem, Like A Superstar, to help fans get in the party mood for UEFA EURO 2008™ – and he is delighted to be part of the celebration in Austria and Switzerland in June. "I wanted the song to be passionate and vibrant so that people could feel the groove, " Shaggy said. "There is more to come as we have a song called Feel the Rush, a very energetic song, which is to be launched in April or so."

'A big party'
UEFA Commercial Director Philippe Margraff said: "We want UEFA EURO 2008™ to be a big party where fans can enjoy and celebrate the spectacle. Music is a key ingredient to that and we wanted to consider that different types of music applied to different people. We want to have something that people like and something that complements the event as part of that big party, that big celebration."

Programme
According to Martin Kallen, chief operating officer of EURO 2008 SA, music is among a huge selection of entertainment scheduled for the summer. "We want to set a new standard in terms of entertainment for the fans at the stadiums and we have a very interesting programme planned," he said. "In addition, we also have opening and closing ceremonies involving over 1,000 people on the pitch, showing not only football but what Austria and Switzerland stand for."
